Newman Grove National Honor Society Induction Ceremony
The Newman Grove National Honor Society (NHS) welcomed seven new members during its induction ceremony held on Monday, March 24th. This year marks the 98th anniversary of the school's NHS charter, which was issued on April 26, 1927, making it one of the oldest in the state of Nebraska.
Brooke Forre, NHS president, warmly welcomed family and guests to the event. The traditional candlelight service featured readings dedicated to the four NHS pillars—scholarship, leadership, service, and character—presented by Aleeya Morris, Brooke Forre, Emily Schlecht, and Kailey Patzel.
The new members inducted into the NHS were Jayden Benson, Micah Cuevas, Allyx Forre, Piper Jarecki, Dylan Luetkenhaus, Isabella Santarosa, and Mady Wiese. They join current members Brooke Forre, Owen Kaufman, Summer McKinzie, Aleeya Morris, Kailey Patzel, Emily Schlecht, Serenity Strong, Keira Voelker, and Aubree Whitaker.
Community member Dennis McCloud served as the evening’s guest speaker, offering words of inspiration and encouragement to the inductees. Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to enjoy cake and punch.
With nearly a century of tradition, the Newman Grove National Honor Society continues to uphold the values of scholarship, leadership, service, and character within the school and community.
